The Boring Stuff
Once you have signed the design you are confirming that the gown to be made will match that design in the closest possible way. Therefore any changes you wish to make MUST be agreed by both parties.
Fabric swatches will be provided for your approval before anything is ordered.
All gowns are custom made after taking a maximum of 27 measurements. Therefore if your size changes it may results in alterations being made. There is no fee involved unless your measurement gain is above 4 cm as new panels may need to be cut.
You must pay a minimum of 10% (50% if the event date is less than 6 months away) when you sign the contract.
You must be 50% paid when your measurements are taken and/or before any fabric is ordered.
Should you decide to cancel your order before the fabric is ordered you will forfeit the 10% deposit.
Should you decide to cancel your order after the fabric has been ordered or cut you will forfeit 50% of the total cost.
Once a gown has been completed you cannot cancel the order.
You are required to settle your balance by the final fitting. If you pay via bank transfer, the funds must be visible in my account before I can release the gown.
The gown remains the property of Alison.PS Designs until your account is settled in full.
A confirmed price for the alterations will be given before the gown is pinned.
If you decide to go ahead with the alterations, but they are not due to be started for over 2 months, you will need to pay a $50 deposit. This is to ensure your place in the work room diary and will be taken off your balance.
50% of the total fee must be paid before any work is carried out on the gown.
The balance must be settled by the final fitting.
Although the gown remains your property, the balance must be paid in full before the gown can be released. Therefore if you pay via bank transfer, the funds must be visible in my account first.
Off the rack Gowns
All gowns purchased off the rack will have a label clearly stating its name/code, size, colour, condition and price.
The condition of the gown will either be New or Pre-loved.
A new gown will be in the best possible condition and never been worn outside of the studio. Although it may have been tried on several times whilst in stock.
A Pre-loved gown may have a few marks or evidence of wear. Therefore it is important to thoroughly check the gown before you purchase. The condition of the gown is always reflected in the price.
You can pay for a gown in full and take it away immediately. Or you can leave it to be altered.
No gown will be altered until the gown is paid in full, and therefore becomes your property.
You may put a gown on lay-by. The minimum deposit to be paid at the time of lay-by is 50%.
The remaining balance must be paid within 2 months if the gown is under $200, and 3 months if it is over $200.
If you change your mind whilst a gown is on lay-by, you may cancel the gown and remaining amount due.
The deposit paid can then be transferred to another gown or service offered by Alison PS Designs.
Deposits for gowns are non-refundable.
If you change your mind once you have paid in full, you will be offered an exchange to a different gown or service by Alison PS Designs. No refund will be offered.
If you change your mind once the gown has been collected, no exchange will be offered after 24 hours.
